An Alexander Valley Vineyards Epicurean Dinner

Event Date: Saturday, April 18, 2026

Experience the storied terroir of Sonoma County at Madison Beach Hotel’s Estate & Elegance Epicurean Dinner. This April, we celebrate the legacy of Alexander Valley Vineyards, a family-owned estate world-renowned for its rich, silk-textured Cabernet Sauvignon and deep roots in California’s wine history.

The evening features a curated multi-course menu designed by Executive Chef Christophe Santos, who has expertly balanced the bold, sun-ripened flavors of the valley with his signature culinary precision. To bring the vineyard to life, Sommelier Tanya Raisz will guide you through each flight, sharing the heritage of the Wetzel family estate and the art of the perfect pour.

From the first crisp sip of Chardonnay to the final, velvet note of an aged Red, join us for a masterclass in pairing that honors the soul of Sonoma. Reserve your seat for an evening of sophisticated flavors and seaside elegance.

DINNER MENU
Amuse Bouche: Oyster ‘Granite’, cucumber, lemon zest

Wine Pairing: 2023 Sauvignon Blanc is a lively wine bottled with a stelvin closure to lock in the freshness.  There are aromas of tropical fruits, guava, slight passion fruit, pineapple, grapefruit and melon.  Bright acidity is followed by fresh juicy flavors of citrus, lime, grapefruit, and slight minerality.  This dry white wine is sure to become a new favorite.

First Course: ‘Salade de crabe’, celery, tarragon, mango-jalapeno salad, coconut and lime sauce

Wine Pairing: 2025 Gewürztraminer opens with an alluring, perfumed bouquet – rose petals, lychee, and citrus layered over a whisper of mineral and wet stone. Bright acidity lifts flavors of crisp apple, pear, and grapefruit, while hints of stone fruit and spice add depth. Lush yet refined, it finishes clean and vibrant, leaving a lasting impression of freshness and finesse.

Second Course: Dover Sole ‘aux champignons’, sweet corn sauce

Wine Pairing: The 2024 Chardonnay is a full-bodied Chardonnay that showcases our vineyard site and winemaking style. Aromas of apple, pear, vanilla along with floral notes and hint of oak from the minimal barrel aging fill the glass. Bright flavors of pear, apple, nectarine, juicy peach, and tropical fruits along with slight citrus notes are balanced by the rich mouthfeel and slight minerality on the finish.

Third Course: Seared Duck breast, wilted Swiss chard, carrot puree, grapefruit gastric

Wine Pairing: CYRUS  This dark purple wine is filled with layered fruit aromas that hint at the complex flavors in the glass.  Cassis, black cherry, cherry, dark chocolate, vanilla and oak aromas lead to similar flavors.   This vintage is a timeless classic with integrated tannins, beautiful balance, and a long, structured finish.

Dessert Course: Dark chocolate ‘cremeux’, passion fruit mousse, chocolate crumble

Wine Pairing: Sin Zin is a widely recognized California classic. This aromatic wine has a solid core of red and black fruits with rich spicy flavors of blueberry, black cherry, topped with black pepper and chocolate. This is a rich, layered vintage with great balance and a long finish.
