Four Wedding Day Prep Essentials

  1. Space To Get Ready

You’ll want an inviting space to get your glam on and gather your wedding party before the ceremony. Our SeaBelle Suite and Spinnaker Lounge make for ideal spots while finishing up your final look and sharing special moments with loved ones.

  1. Something to Eat Pre-Ceremony

Getting ready can be a long process and you’re bound to get hungry. Madison Beach Hotel guides you through pre-planning a 10 guest lunch that comes with your package to keep your bridal party satiated and well hydrated.

  1. Emergency Kit

Final touch ups can come with all kinds of hiccups, so you’ll want to come prepared for every fashion faux pas. We recommend assigning one of your bridesmaids to provide an “emergency kit” stocked with essentials.

  1. Picturesque Spots for First Look

If you plan to have a “first look” with your partner and see them privately before the ceremony, think about where you will want this moment to take place. First looks offer the perfect opportunity for a photographer to shoot some sentimental images. One popular location is Madison Beach’s striking wooden staircase that wraps around a chandelier in the lobby. If you dream of recreating a scene from “Titanic” (before things went south), this is the spot for you. Other options include our private beach with a panoramic ocean view, one of our coastal balconies, or the Wharf Rocks – the most photographed rocks on the Connecticut Shoreline.

Keeping everyone nourished, accounting for potential slip ups, and choosing spaces that are made for memories will ensure a successful wedding day. With everything in place, all you’ll need to worry about is making your happy tears as graceful as possible.
